Critical Illness
What is Critical Illness Insurance?
Although Critical Illness insurance is a relatively new concept in the United States, it has a proven track record. This insurance was developed by a doctor
not an insurance company for the unexpected costs associated with surviving a critical illness.
- Do you know anyone who has had a heart attack?
- Can you name a person who has been diagnosed with cancer?
- Is there someone you know who has had a stroke?
- Are there people you know who have had to take time off of work while recovering from a major operation or critical illness?
Did any of the people you thought of plan their illness? How many are still alive?
How did this affect their lives, financially or emotionally? What difference would an extra $25,000 or $50,000 have made in their lives?
With today's advances in medical technology and increased life expectancy more people survive critical illnesses. But what insurance does a survivor of a critical illness have to cover indirect expenses incurred during his/her recovery from a critical illness such as loss of income, travel expenses or experimental treatments.
