ARPA Overview (Accounts Receivable Protection Accumulation)
ARPA (Accounts Receivable Protection Accumulation) has two goals, to possibly protect a business' accounts receivable (AR) & to turn it into a performing asset. This is done by taking out a bank loan using the company's AR as primary collateral. The bank will file a UCC-1 statement, perfecting their claim on the AR. This may protect the asset from the claims of unwanted creditors.
Once the business owner has the money that was borrowed from the bank, what do they do with it? They may choose to purchase fixed insurance products. ARPA uses a combination of life insurance and/or annuity products to potentially achieve maximum accumulation and possible protection.
ARPA Highlights:
Turnkey program
Liquidity
- High cash values possible provide protection from interest rates spiking.
Combination of life & annuity products.
Life Insurance
- Not worried about a policy lapsing due to taking money out of the policy's cash value through loans and withdraws*
- Insurance guaranteed for life, or a predetermined period.
Annuity
- Fixed Annuity for tax deferred growth
*Riders on policies and individual policy features will determind whether the policy will lapse due to taking money out of the policy. The design of each
client's ARPA plan will differ and look to potentially guarantee insurance death benefits for a predetermined period and potentially avoid a policy from
lapsing while taking money out of the policy's cash value through loans and withdraws. Guarantees are different under each policy and are determined by the design of
the policy and the issuing insurance company.
